Membership Eligibility

  • To access the CRC, you must be a valid member and possess a BuzzCard verifying eligibility at the Access Control turnstiles. Membership can be purchased at the Member Services Desk in person or fax the Membership Application to 404.894.9981.

  • Full-time Students

    BuzzCards are automatically activated for CRC entrance upon payment of fees to the Bursar's Office. If there is a problem with your card not working, ask an employee at Access Control the reason for card failure. If the reason is "Privilege Unassigned," please see the Bursar's Office and ask them to check for correct posting of your account.

  • Co-op, Part-time, and Cross-enrolled Students

    For membership to the CRC, please go to the Bursar's Office and pay the REC fee and the CRC fee for BuzzCard activation. To be eligible for Intramurals (co-op students only), pay the Student Activity fee and the REC fee.

    ** CRC Fee=Campus Recreation Center Fee (the old SAC fee) that is the portion of the activity fee allotted to CRC.

  • GT Faculty/Staff, Affiliates and Retirees

    Pay for your membership of $24 per month (Three Month Minimum) after showing proof of employment or retirement with the appropriate BuzzCard. All benefits eligible employees of Georgia Tech can sign up for payroll deduction.

  • Alumni

    Alumni are eligible to purchase memberships for $30 per month (Three Month Minimum) upon verification of status in alumni database.

  • Spouses

    Spouses may be added to any of the above memberships for an additional $10 per month after the spouse has obtained a BuzzCard.

  • Children

    Children under the age of 18 are not required to pay for membership; however they must remain with a parent or guardian who is a CRC member at all times.If you have any questions, please call the Member Services Desk at 404.894.7163 or 404.894.1616.


Guest Passes

  • Guest Passes may be purchased at the Member Services Desk (front entrance) during all hours of operation. The cost is $5.00 for students and $7.00 for non-student members. The member must stay with the guest at all times; therefore, the guest must leave when the member leaves. A member may bring up to two guests per visit. Passes are sold for the day of the visit only. No one under the age of 18 (unless a Tech student) may come into CRC without a parent or guardian. The parent or guardian must stay with the individual at all times. Children under the age of 18 are not required to pay for a guest pass to enter the facility.


Prorating

  • Any membership purchased on the 16th of the month or later will be prorated for a half month membership for the first month. For example, an alumni membership purchased on September 18 will only be charged $15 for the month of September and $30 per month thereafter.


Payment

  • All money transactions at the CRC must be in the form of Visa, MasterCard, BuzzCard, or check. No cash will be accepted. All payments must be made in person at the Member Services Desk except for faxed memberships.
