ORGT Adventure Sports - INSTRUCTIONAL PROGRAMS
Various instructional programs are run by student subcommitees. From whitewater rafting to caving, these groups are open to all students and CRC members. The groups meet on a weekly basis and organize trips throughout the semester. Visit the websites below to see if there is a program that grabs your interest!

Encompassing the three major whitewater sports: Canoeing, Kayaking and Rafting; we provide Tech students with the equipment and training to experience, learn, and progress in whitewater activities. Schools at beginner and intermediate levels, rental equipment, and weekly pool practice sessions are also available.

From day hikes to multi-day backpacks, you may also find us wearing snowshoes or crampons! Several schools are offered,
rental equipment is available at the Wilderness Outpost, and weekly meetings are held to discuss upcoming trips and adventures.

Our organization teaches several rock climbing classes each semester, ranging from “new to climbing” beginner courses to advanced lead courses.
In addition to instruction, we offer great rentals and organized trips all around the southeast. We have weekly meetings and encourage newcomers!

Sea kayaking is the common name for a sport that should more accurately be called "kayak touring",
since we often paddle on lakes, as opposed to the ocean. We offer beginning, intermediate, and advanced instructional trips.

The caving subcommittee provides instruction "for students, by students" teaching safe horizontal
and vertical caving skills. We have caving gear available which allows us to do just about any kind of caving short of cave diving in the Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia (TAG) area. And we do.

Our informal group is a great place to meet fellow cyclists and find out about local cycling events. We offer group rides, instructional schools for all levels,
and maintenance classes. If you want to find local trails, start off-road riding or racing, we can help you out!
